"O Auto da Barca do Inferno (or Auto of Morality) is a complex dramatic allegory of Gil Vicente, first performed in 1517. It is the first part of the trilogy called the Barcas (of which the second and third are respectively Auto da Barca do Purgatorio and Auto da Barca da Glória)."
