It's separate from but in the northwest corner of Brownsville City Cemetery. The gate was locked.

The Texas Historical Marker here (visit link) says the cemetery was established on 1/2 acre of land in 1868.

Find-A-Grave (visit link) lists this cemetery as Hebrew Cemetery with an alternate name of Temple Beth El Cemetery and they list 251 interments with photographs for 94% of those listed.

The Texas Historical Commission (visit link) lists this cemetery as Hebrew Benevolent Society Cemetery but has very little info.
