Kota Jakarta station is a terminus of the Jakarta train system, linking the city to the satellite town of Bogor in the south. The building itself is a Dutch era art deco structure, undergoing renovation at the current time. It is a large and open space, with a dozen or so tracks. There are ticket counters at both of the two main entrances. There are also lots of people there, always busy. The station is in the older part of Jakarta, the streets outside are just a little rough. Access to the station is unrestricted, though reaching the tracks requires the purchase of a train ticket.
