The historic Emporia Train Depot was built around 1900 and served passengers and freight on the Petersburg Railroad and later the Seaboard Coast Line.

The Emporia Train Depot has been restored and now houses the Emporia Chamber of Commerce and some county offices.

Trains no longer stop here, but I caught an Amtrak train headed south while visiitng.
