The mosiac is about 15 inches square and is attached to the wall of a building to display its number. There are dark and light blue pieces arranged around the edge to form a border. Within the border there are very dark blue, possibly black, pieces making up the number nine. Dark and light orange pieces are used to produce a sun burst effect from the centre of the nine out to the border. The remaining background is made up of white pieces.
The pieces are affixed to a backing board which, in turn, is attached to the wall.
