Located in front of the Marion Apartments building is a recently installed plaque that reads:

HISTORY

ESTABLISHED AS A PREMIERE APARTMENT BUILDING,
THE MARION OPENED ITS DOORS IN 1928. THE PROPERTY IS LISTED
IN SALEM, OREGON WITH THE STATE HISTORICAL SOCIETY.
IT WAS DESIGNED BY A SAN FRANCISCO BASED ARCHITECT, AND
BUILT BY A CONTRACTOR ALSO FROM SAN FRANCISCO. THE NAME
IS DERIVED FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER, MR. MARION BARNES.
THE BUILDING IS COMPRISED OF 28 SPACIOUS, WELL-DESIGNED,
AND UPDATED STUDIO AND ONE BEDROOM APARTMENTS.

I really enjoyed the attention to detail with the terra cotta ornamentation utilized at the building's entrance as well as the Spanish-revival tiles that are accented strategically in front of the building and at the upper corners on all sides. I don't even mind the salmon paint job this building stands out in and give the building a Mediterranean look and feel. All that are missing are Palm trees.

This is one of the few well-preserved older buildings in Klamath Falls and a nice addition to the downtown area.
