The church was built in 1914 for the First Methodist Episcopal Church. The building is in a Classical Revival style and has a central dome with a cross on top. In 1945 the church building was sold to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, becoming the first Greek Orthodox church in Steubenville. The church building appears to be in excellent condition and continues to serve as the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
