The historic Arcata Theatre at 1020 G Street in Arcata, California. The Arcata Theatre is a combination of Art Deco and Art Moderne architecture and opened on February 5, 1938. The theater was enlarged in 1948 bringing its capacity up to 900 seats.
The theater closed about 2000 and was sold and underwent a renovation. It reopened in 2009 as the Arcata Theatre Lounge offering live music, movies, dining and dancing.
