Central High School was built in 1929.  It was the first high school built in Mingo Junction at a time of rapid growth in the community approach a population of 5,000.  The two-story brick faced building is in a Jacobethan Revival style.  The building features stone trim and a pointed arch entry.  The building was designed to reflect the style of the adjacent Central Public School which no longer exists.

The school building appears to be in good condition and is now a middle school.

Note: This is an active school and should be visited during non-school hours when students are not present.

Year of construction: 1929
