Banjar is one of many, to be frank, indistinguishable towns in Java: quiet, small, just a little dusty, and with a train and bus station linking its good citizens to the wider world. The station is located near the city centre, and consists of a waiting area running along the track, a small ticket office, and an entrance courtyard. In the courtyard are a number of bejak (rickshaw) drivers, who will be astounded that anyone is getting off here, and further, that you are a westerner.
Outside the main entrance (to the west) is a small, but rather attractive fountain. It has the design of a jungle waterfall, but is only a few metres across. Under other circumstances I would hesitate to waymark such a small fountain, but this is about it for water features here.
