Cíhošt miracle
The event commonly referred to as Cíhoštský zázrak (in English: Cíhošt miracle) happened on 11 December 1949, during the third Advent Sunday, in the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in the village of Cíhošt, Havlíckuv Brod district, Czechoslovakia. The alleged "miracle" was misused by Communist authorities to anti-religious repressions.[2] The priest Josef Toufar was tortured and died during the investigation of the event.

Cíhoštský zázrak je událost, ke které došlo v obci Cíhošt na prelomu let 1949 a 1950. Pri mši svaté o 3. adventní nedeli 11. prosince 1949 se nekolikrát behem kázání místního faráre Josefa Toufara pohnul asi pul metru vysoký kríž nad svatostánkem na hlavním oltári místního kostela Nanebevzetí Panny Marie.[1] Sám farár se o události dozvedel od farníku až nekolik dní poté. Stejný jev se mel údajne opakovat na Boží hod vánocní a v dobe postní, kdy již P. Toufar nežil (zemrel na Bulovce 25. února 1950).
