Lake Saint-Pierre is a lake located on the St. Lawrence River between Sorel-Tracy and Trois-Rivières, east of Montreal, Quebec. The lake is part of the Seaway St. Lawrence. The body of water is recognized as a Ramsar site and a biosphere reserve due to the presence of many marshes or wetlands that are frequented by waterfowl times. The lake was named by Samuel de Champlain after its passage June 29, 1603, the day of Saint-Pierre. The Abenakis called the Nebesek lake, which means the lac3.Jacques Cartier, during his second voyage to Canada, attributes the name to Lake Angoulême.
This crowded in high season area is important stopping point for hundreds of thousands of migratory waterfowl. It is also an important nesting site for herons. In 1998, she was recognized as a wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention.You can see at a scenic lookout
