Situated on a hillside with a significant slope that leads down to the National Road 250 (connecting Sacavém to Loures) and is currently very uncharacteristic, due to the proliferation of illegal constructions around..

The chapel was built where once there was a chapel, probably of the same devotion, having been rebuilt in 1676, as appears in an engraved plaque on the gateway:
"Á VIRGEM DE NAZARETH EDIFICARAM ESTA IGREJA OS SEUS DEVOTOS, OFFICIAES E MÓRDOMOS DE LISBOA, SENDO JUIZ, SEGUNDA VEZ, MANOEL RIBEIRO DE LIMA, DERRUBANDO-SE HUMA PEQUENA E ANTIGA ERMIDA, POR ARRUINADA, NESTE SÍTIO EM QUE ESTA IGREJA SE FUNDOU, EM O ANNO DE 1676"
Lies in the vaulted chapel an image of Our Lady of Nazareth, and, beside the altar, paintings of scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary and the miracle that occurred to D. Fuas Roupinho the "Sítio" (the present town of Nazaré), through the intervention of Our Lady. On a pedestal with the image, you can read:
"ESTE RETÁBULO MANDARAM DOURAR E PINTAR OS DEVOTOS DE NOSSA SENHORA, DE LISBOA. ANNO 1612"
Date the Church was built, dedicated or cornerstone laid: 01/01/1676
