Yuma has two major flea markets. This one is known more by the name of "the new one" than Arizona marketplace. The old one, is located at the old dog track and operates year round. This flea market is for the snowbirds. It operates only while they are here. It opens in November and closes in April. Exact dates depend on the migration patterns of the snowbirds. If they stay late or come early the market adjusts to meet their needs.
This market has many new items for sale but is by all means still a flea market with typical booths and vendors you would expect at a flea market. Lots of rv supplies and surplus items. In the height of the season there is entertainment and plenty of food.
Over the past years (2009-13) the size has been dwindling smaller and smaller. Word has it the management charges too much for booth space and the vendors are moving back to the old flea market. In 2014 this seemed to be true.
Weekend admission is 50 cents in 2014
