Dieser Rammpfahl wurde 1932 bei den Bauarbeiten für die Station Jungfernstieg ausgegraben. Er gehörte zu dem um 1250 geschaffenen Stauwehr des Alstermühlendamms. Der Künstler Richard Luksch gestalltete diesen Rammpfahl als Geschenk für die Stadt Hamburg.

This ramming pile was excavated in 1932 during the construcion of the station Jungfernstieg. It once belonged to the retaining weir of the Alstermühlen dam, the precursor of the Jungfernstieg. The artist Richard Luksch created the carvings as a gift to the city of Hamburg.
