The Hotel Labonte is a fixture in downtown Douglas. Its unique neon sign and high roof sign can be seen for miles across the prairie, beckoning travelers by rail, and by road.

Two vintage neon signs for the Hotel Labonte in downtown Douglas WY light the night.

The Hotel Labonte has been sheltering travelers along the Burlington Route RR (now the BNSF) and the Yellowstone Highway (Now US 26) since 1914. These landmark neon signs were added probably sometime in the 1920s or 30s.

Blasterz were only in Douglas during the day, but it is clear from our photos that both signs are missing some tubes from the letters. Hopefully they will be restored by the Hotel Labonte's new owners.
