The castle "Burghalder" is an outbound hilltop castle at 370 m above sea level.
The castle was on a rock, the "Burghalder" (also called "Burgfels"), 370 meters above sea level, in Hauenstein. It still remembers a trench with wall section and a sign on the castle.
The Burghalder was probably in the 9th-10th Century built as a Carolingian refuge fort. Shards finds attest to his use until the 12th Century.
