The Mayfair Hotel now know as The Roberts Mayfair - A Wyndham Historic Hotel, was built in 1926. Its guest list has included Irving Berlin, Cary Grant and Harry Truman. The 18 story hotel did not deteriorate over the years like many of the other grand hotels in St. Louis experianced. The building was renovated in 1977 to update it and to increase the size of some suites while reducing the overal number of them, the building was always maintained in a good condition.
