Built in 1931-32, this U.S. post office building remains in service today. The three-story Neo-Classical Revival structure was considered one of the finest built on the west coast by the Treasury Department enginner: "There are many new federal buildings being constructed in my district at this time but this is one of the finest—better than the one Los Angeles has now, for instance." The building was constructed as a combined post office and federal office building. The Hoquiam City Hall is nearby.
