This simple, two-sided monument features funeral draping and a set of clasped hands (a good marriage) on the front, with the following inscription:
R.M. Thomas
Born Jan. 11, 1846,
Died
March 5, 1880.
Dear husband, in earth's thorny paths,
How long thy feet have trod!
To find at last this peaceful rest,
safe in the arms of God.
On the reverse is a depiction of mourning angels below "R.M. Thomas," and "At Rest." below them.
