Up Highway 20 about 15 km. from Kensington, this is a very accessible park. It has a large campground with over 180 camp sites, a large day use area and a large beach, with lifeguard in the summer.
Tranquil and sedate more days than not, this beach is on the north side of PEI. What this means is that, when a storm blows up with northerly winds, the waves kick up something fierce. Summer is generally calm with the best storms in the spring and fall, even in the winter (those, however, they call blizzards - bad time to be out wave watching in PEI).
Cabot Beach is the largest park in western PEI. This beautiful park has a large day-use area with playground equipment, an activity centre with children's programs. There is also supervised swimming on scenic Malpeque Bay.
