"This bridge was built to connect Fair Oaks to the railroad spur in Folsom and was completed in 1901 for $30,000. In 1907 the bridge was washed out twice and rebuilt. The first motorized vehicle crossed the bridge in 1915 and it was closed to traffic in 1967. This monument is dedicated to the fond memories and future experiences of this beautiful area and this grand old bridge."
