The project of building a church in Saint -Pie back to the early 1840s when Mr. Crevier priest recognized the need to build sides adjacent to a small chapel to accommodate all the faithful.

In September 1846 , nearly 200 residents of the parish addressed to Bishop JC Prince, coadjouteur a request for the construction of the stone church .
In 1850 , the trustees concluded contract with the architect and master Onesimus Generous - Olivier Morin contractor for the construction of a church of 150 x 60 feet and 32 feet high, and a sacristy. In 1853 , a second key market decor inside the church and sacristy.
September 30, 1854, the St. Pius church is blessed by the priest Crevier , assisted by Michel Godard, vicar of Saint -Césaire .

Le projet de la construction d’une église à Saint-Pie remonte au début des années 1840, quand monsieur le curé Crevier a constaté qu’il fallait construire des côtés adjacents à sa petite chapelle pour loger tous les fidèles.

En septembre 1846, près de 200 résidents de la paroisse adressent à Monseigneur J.C. Prince, coadjouteur, une requête pour la construction de l’église en pierre.

En 1850, les syndics concluent marché avec l’architecte Onésime Généreux et maître – entrepreneur Olivier Morin pour la construction d’une église de 150 x 60 pieds et de 32 pieds de haut, ainsi que d’une sacristie. En 1853, un deuxième marché touche le décor de l’intérieur de l’église et de la sacristie.
Le 30 septembre 1854, l’église Saint-Pie est bénie par le curé Crevier, assisté de Michel Godard, vicaire de Saint-Césaire.
L’église, de style gothique surbaissé se distingue surtout par ses vastes proportions. Au sol, la forme de l’église est en croix latine.
