New electric vehicle charging stations are now available at the Whitby GO station as the Province drives home its environmentally friendly message for commuters.
The charging areas in Whitby are located in the parking structure on the first level east entrance, next to the accessible spaces.
Charging a car at one of the GO charging stations will be free for the first month. After that, each charging session will cost $2.50. Users can pay with a credit card or a Chargepoint card, which can be used at charging stations around the province.
How long it takes to charge a car depends on the size of the battery but four to six hours is common. Users can leave their cars at the stations all day.
