The California Hotel and Casino, also known as The Cal opened in 1975 at a cost of $10 million. Owned by Sam Boyd, of Boyd Gaming fame, the hotel and casino caters to the Hawaiian and Asian market.
The casino features more than 1000 video and slot machines, 28 gaming tables, keno and a sports book.
The hotel is located one block north of the entrance to the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas.
