This bridge, over the Animas River, is now abandoned. It is best viewed from the Durango & Silverton Train. This abandoned bridge is on the west side of the newer replacement bridge.

This historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (visit link) has been in continuous operation for 131 years, carrying passengers behind vintage steam locomotives and rolling stock indigenous to the line. The number of trips vary from 3 times a day in the summer to only 3 trips a week in the winter.
