Long Description:
James Roan Arnn is laid to rest in Rush Springs Cemetery on the east side of town. He shares the headstone with his wife, Rachel, who lived to be 98. The stone is pink granite with a rusticated edge. Their surname ARNN is engraved in large letter at the top with their names and dates beneath.

James' inscription reads:

Asleep in Jesus

* The tin-type camera was patented the year James was ten.
* The Civil War ended when he was 20.
* Karl Benz patented the first successful gasoline-driven auto in 1886 when James was 40.
* When James turned 50, the first x-ray photo was taken in the U.S.
* Einstein presented his Theory of General Relativity the year James turned 70.
* The year James was 100, the U.N. Security Council held its first meeting.
* The Republic of Ireland withdrew from the British Commonwealth in 1949, the year James passed away.
