Walter Jones is laid to rest alongside his wife Maude in Rush Springs Cemetery. They have a pink granite headstone, with rusticated edges. Their surname JONES is engraved at the center top with their names and dates engraved on open Bibles beneath.

Walter's inscription reads:

* The Polaroid camera debuted when Walter was 70.
* Walter was 90 when the first Boeing 747 commercial flight took place.
* Willy Mays was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame the year Walter passed away.
