[EN] The Geysir Andernach is the world's highest cold water geyser with a fountain of 50 to 60 meters.

The eruption lasts eight minutes at a natural interval of 100 minutes between the individual outbreaks. Carbon dioxide gas drives the geyser on, similar to a shaken soda bottle.

The geyser was drilled in 1903 for the first time on the Namedyer Werth, a peninsula in the Rhine at Andernach. It has been a tourist attraction since 2006. From a "Discovery Centre" in Andernach, which provides information on the geyser, there is a boat connection to the Namedyer Werth, where the geyser can be observed. The ticket includes the admission to the Discovery Centre, boat trip,
and the visit to the geyser.

The geyser is on winter break from November 1st until the end of March.
