This former Nike site is located at Pere Marquette State Park. It was built in the late 1950’s and operated until 1968, for the purpose of defending the city of St. Louis during the cold war years. The main entry is pictured here while another gate is located behind the group campsites. The park uses it for storage purposes, and it is clear that they don’t want visitors exploring behind the gate.
