Here, many inmates were held in 120 degree weather in the summer and 40 degree weather during the winter. Here, life was hard and only the worst of the worst were held here as there was no where to go if one escaped. Opened in 1876, then closing its doors in the 1940s. Now you can tour the place for only $9.
