1963/01/01 by CGS (FIRST OBSERVED)
DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1963 (BMK) THE STATION IS LOCATED NEAR THE CENTER OF THE TOWN OF LANSFORD AND 1 BLOCK BLOCK SOUTH OF THE POST OFFICE ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE STREET. THE TANK IS A STEEL STRUCTURE, PAINTED WHITE IN COLOR AND IS SUPPORTED BY 4 STEEL LEGS. IT IS ABOUT 150 FEET IN HEIGHT AND HAS THE NAME LANSFORD PAINTED IN BLACK LETTERS ACROSS ONE SIDE OF THE TANK. THE POINT INTERSECTED WAS THE BALL ATOP.
