The Wooden Churches of the Slovak part of Carpathian Mountain Area inscribed on the World Heritage List consist of two Roman Catholic, three Protestant and three Greek Orthodox churches built between the 16th and 18th centuries.

St. Michael tserkwa (church) belongs to the so-called Lemkov's group of the eastern Carpathian wooden churches of the eastern rite (Greek Orthodox Church). It was buled in 1742. At the time of the Second World War was damaged right side of the iconostasis and restored it in 1946. The church was damaged again in 1957. It is since 1968 a national cultural monument and from 8 July 2008 registered in the UNESCO World Heritage.
