This peace pole is one of two I've located in Klamath Falls and located in front of the United Way campaign headquarters. The other peace pole resides in front of the First Methodist Church, not too far from here.

This peace pole contains an interesting illustration on one side of animal tracks of species local to the Klamath area which include deer, quail, mallards, cougar, muskrat and a few other animal tracks I couldn't decipher.

Another side reads 'Rongo Mau ki te Whenua' which translates to 'May there be Peace on Earth' in the Maori language. This phrase is also spelled out in English, Braille, Sign Language, Spanish and Japanese.
