'The poor tonal quality of the organ music in the cathedral after the Second World War was improved with the consecration of the new nave organ on 29 June 1998. The new swallow’s nest organ was constructed at the east end of the nave on the north wall, which is considered an excellent location for organs in Gothic cathedrals. It was designed and made by organ manufacturers Klais of Bonn in conjunction with the cathedral’s head architect Arnold Wolff. The nave organ has Great, Swell, Back Positive, and Pedal divisions, 3,963 pipes, and 53 stops.'
