I was surprised that Bay Lake was a natural lake. I thought it was built for Disney, but I guess not. There are a few resorts along the shoreline. The Contemporary, Bay Lake Tower, and Fort Wilderness Lodge all are located or have access to the lake. You can rent a boat and go out on the lake. You are not allowed to swim in it do to microorganism that could harm you. At sun rise, this makes a perfect place for taking a picture. The sun reflects off the water and in the summer, creates a mist so it is even more impressive.
