The USS Intrepid served as a major aircraft carrier in the US Navy in the Vietnam War. Most notably, the vessel was used in WWII shortly after the bombings of pearl harbor in Hawaii. It was sent to Japan to help warn other US Navel bases in the Pacific incase of an impeding attack. The ship today serves as a history museum for many tourist. It has over 100 different aircraft as well as a history museum for the carrier. There is a theater inside as well as a food court in the back. There is also a geocache at the front entrance to the museum.
