From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 9.4 miles to the intersection with FR14. Turn right on FR14 and continue 8.3 miles to the junction with FR1419-900. Turn left on FR1419-900 and continue generally S for 0.4 miles. Turn right on FR1419-980 and continue about 0.1 mile to a locked gate and the corner on the left.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on iron pipe in mound of stones; rising 4"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is about 190' S from the locked gate, at a barbed wire SE fence corner. There is a Carsonte post with PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MARKER decals. Found two ponderosa pines with partly healed blazes, yellow BEARING TREE tags and LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs on the reverse sides. Found another corner about 670' N in the barbed wire fence line; see photographs.


What property is this mark defining?:
The land NW of the corner is House on Metolius property, else Deschutes National Forest.
