EN: Vineyard cottages were once widespread in wine-growing regions. They were used to guard the vines and for storage of the equipment. Today only few of them have survived. One of the finest and oldest examples is the so-called "Hagenbächli" on a ridge above Pratteln. The small two-storey timber-framed building has a floor area of less than 10 m2 and is capped by a steep gable roof.
The cottage was built by Christoph Hagenbach, who was pastor in Pratteln from 1625 to 1668. From the beginning it was not only a functional building, but served primarily as a resort for the pastor. His son bequeathed it to the respective parishes of Pratteln and today it is still property of the parish.
DE: Rebhäuslein waren einst in Weinbaugebieten weitverbreitet. Sie dienten zur Bewachung der Reben und Unterbringung der Geräte. Heute sind nur noch wenige von ihnen erhalten. Eines der hervorragendsten und ältesten Beispiele ist das sogenannte "Hagenbächli" auf einem Hügelkamm oberhalb von Pratteln. Der kleine zweigeschossige Riegelbau hat eine Grundfläche von weniger als 10 m2 und wird von einem steilen Satteldach bedeckt.
Das Gebäude wurde von Christoph Hagenbach erbaut, der von 1625-1668 in Pratteln Pfarrer war. Es war seit Beginn nicht ausschliesslich für den Weinbau, sondern diente vor allem als Erholungort für den Pfarrer. Sein Sohn vermachte es dem jeweiligen Pfarren von Pratteln und es gehört heute noch der Kirchgemeinde.
