Right on the bustling (sometimes there are as many as three cars on main street simultaneously) main street of Northport, these sumil-log cottages are the only ones of their type anywhere near here. There are three cottages available, The Trapper, Trail's End & Grandma Joe's, each with a loft above, one family to a cottage. Each has a porch at the door for whiling away those lazy afternoons or regaling the masses (as of 2010 the masses consisted of a total population of 295 residents) with one's favorite fish fables.
Set beside the Columbia River, the area is well known for its fishing and boating opportunities. The town itself retains some of its historic old buildings from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Right across the street can be found the Mustang Grill which, according to the locals, was once the customs house in Northport over 100 years ago.
