The memorial has a statue of a Confederate soldier standing holding his rifle horizontally in his hands. He is wearing a uniform with a broad-brimmed hat. His belt buckle is inscribed CSA. He has his bedroll is slung over his shoulder. The statue is standing on a multi-tiered granite base with the following inscription:
