We witnessed these impressive waves while visiting the Tsitsikamma National Park on the Garden Route in South Africa. The Indian Ocean breakers, pounding rocky shores is one of Tsitsikamma’s spectacular sceneries.

The Tsitsikamma National Park is situated in the heart of the famous Garden Route in South Africa. The park offers some fine coastal scenery and sometimes the option of whale-watching.

One of the meanings of the word "Tsitsikamma" is "place of much water". Tsitsikamma National Park is truly a place of abundant waters with rivers and cascades tumbling to an ocean lined with rocky crags and white sandy beaches.
