This is a monument to McLaws Division, made up of troops from North and South Carolina and Georgia, who fought at the Battle of Averasboro on March 15 and 16, 1865. This marker is at Chicora Cemetery.

At the Battle of Averasboro, General Lafayette McLaws's Division was made up of Brigades and Artillery from North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
