Cat Tales Zoological Park is as much an animal rescue centre as it is a zoo. All of their animals are rescues or donations from other organizations. As well as admission fees, donations and gift shop sales, they are funded by Adoptions. That is, any number of persons may adopt a favorite animal for a fee of $25 to $120 per month. As well as cats, they have a few other animals, such as Tweety, an African Amazon Parrot ($25.00 per month), Oscar & Oso-Much-Trouble, American Black Bears ($75.00 per month) and Masai, a Turkish Anatolian Shepard ($25.00 per month).

Not a large zoo, they have about 30 animals at present, with space for many more, as the need arises.

Their mission statement:
Promote the welfare and survival of all living species through dedication, conservation, and education.
Promote the preservation of endangered species in general, with a specific focus on the endangered and exotic cats.
Provide and promote the highest possible standards for professional zookeepers, animal trainers, and animal care specialists.
Provide and promote accurate environmental information and education for all ages.
