This is the monument for the killed jewish people of the Nazis in Hannover, Germany, Niedersachsen. It is located at the 'Opernplatz' nearby to the opera.

The monument was placed here on 10/9/1994.
It was created by the Italien artist Michelangelo Pistoletto. It was funded by private donations. It is dedicated to the more than 6'000 killed jewish citizens of Hannover. Actually there are 1'935 of their names engraved.


My personal feelings at this monument have been: goose pimples on my back ... There are so many names ...
