This is a long, narrow park located east of S.E. 1st Street, between Broadway and Catalpa. It appears to be an old park. A low rock wall along the west, north and east sides of the north part of the park, was constructed in 1935 by the WPA.
There is a full basketball court, some playground equipment, picnic benches, and water-play area. There are two walking bridges which span low-lying areas, and a covered bridge dedicated to a civic leader which lies on Boomer Street, which runs east and west through the park. At the south end of the park is a very nice wood gazebo.
The park has old, tall trees and is a lush, green area with lots of shade.
