On the way back from a mission to Osnabrück the plane was hit above IJmuiden . Above Lisse the crew decides to leave the unit. The crew lands in different places . Four crew members are helped by bystanders and resistance , two break their back and were taken prisoner , one surrenders to the Germans and one drowns . One crewmember is already mortally wounded in the plane and crashes with the plane.
