Kari lich (in translation: Stone Lake), which is formed by melting ice and snow, has a perimeter of 1 150 m and surface area 0.3 km². Kari Lish is source of Arkashen River. The lake is during summer easily accessible from Byurakan village by narrow asphalted road. On the eastern side of the lake there is a meteorological station and a small hotel with restaurant. The location is well known in Armenia and is also a favorite campsite for alpinists climbing Aragats.
