The Thomas Paull house was built circa 1835. The early Wheeling mansion is two-and-half-story brick structure in a Greek Revival style. The home was owned by two families prior to its current owner. The Paull family who were early merchants in Wheeling. Following the Paulls was the Cummings family, first Dr. Cummings, an obstetrician, and following his death in 1877 his daughter until her death in 1939. In 1946 the house was purchased by Wade Kepner of Kepner funeral home. It was then adapted to be part of the funeral home and can continued in that role since.
