The WOW marker for J. H. Smith is a tall white tree stump with the seal at the top. Beneath this are engraved crossed implements. The inscription is engraved on a scroll which is hanging from a rope, with a dove on top of the scroll. At the base, palm fronds are engraved.
The inscription reads:

Died
Oct. 12, 1904
